Ingredients
1 bottle of red wine (check out these local liquor store recommendations!!)
8 oz Dampfwerk Helgolander
Mulling spice kit OR…
5g cinnamon
3g Cloves
3g Allspice
3g Ginger root
3g Grains of paradise
3g Cardamom
3g Sassafras
Lemon peels
¼ cup sugar
Directions
Heat until the wine just barely reaches a simmer over medium-high heat. (Avoid letting it bubble in any way — you don’t want to boil off the alcohol.) Reduce heat to low, cover, and let the wine simmer for at least 15 minutes or up to 3 hours. Voila!
