DAY 4 FEAT. APPLE BRANDY

This cocktail was BUILT for a lazy Saturday. Raiding your pantry for a sugar cube, grabbing a lemon, pulling out some simple syrup, and you nuzzling that perfect Dampfwerk square bottle of apple brandy next to your face, is e x a c t l y what this recipe calls for. In comparison to the other "Day" #" cocktails, this is by far the easiest and requires the least developed bar cabinet. Suspiciously looks at friends who always say, "but you make cocktails so much better!"

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Dampfwerk Apple Brandy (eau de vie)

  • ¾ oz simple syrup

  • 1 sugar cube

  • 1 lemon (6 slices) check directions

Directions

First off, slice your lemon in half, and then quarter slice those halves. Place 6 them into your shaker tin with the sugar cube and simple syrup! Grab a muddler, or anything you can use to gently press on the fruit and sugar cube (releasing some oils, sugars, and juice). Next, you’ll want to add the secret sauce (apple brandy) and ice! Shake away and serve neat if you have a sweet tooth, or over ice.
