DAY 2 FEAT. London Dry GIN
Are we all buckled in for two day of self-quarantine? I would like to assume that the two main ingredients (Dampfwerk London Dry Gin and Campari) are staples in most peoples homes, but I understand that Campari is a vague liqueur ;)
Flavor notes: woodsy notes arising from our gin, complimented by the sweetness of lime and simple syrup, that is short-lived and taken over by soft bitter notes of Campari and acidity lime.
Ingredients
1 ½ oz Dampfwerk Gin
½ oz Campari
½ oz lime juice
½ oz simple syrup
2 dash Peychaud’s bitters
Garnish: expressed lime peel
Directions
Build all ingredients into your shaker tin, and give a good shake! Then strain into your glass over ice. Ice for me is preferable, but if you want more of the bitterness of the Campari to linger around, then build neat into a glass.
Express your lime peel (this is actually quite critical and makes a difference) and plop it in! Pro tip, because I’ve made the mistake myself, cut up some peels before juicing your limes!
